EVENING UNDER THE STARS – WITH OVERNIGHT STAY: LEISURE TOUR (WITH EXTRA NIGHTS OPTION)
This is our most popular Tour. Guests arrive early to enjoy a pristine beach at your doorstep (evening bbq – supply own food) with an Astro Tour by night – and wake up to the beach next day. Cooked breakfast provided on single overnight stay bookings (only). A full-on getaway adventure experience! View Youtube Preview
Suit: If you are coming from Melbourne or travelling through the area, or want a few days beach getaway. Stay with us in comfort and privacy. Singles, couple or small family/group. You select and book an available tour date of your choice (or, if booking a multi-night stay, this is the FIRST night of your stay).
- An evening’s telescope observing the sky’s best objects, by the beach, with accommodation
- From 1 to maximum 4 people in your group
- Arrival at beachfront cottage on site from early/mid afternoon (usually from 2.30 p.m.) … Relax, settle in – swim in summer or just go for a nice long beach walk. Put your chef’s hat on and cook your own gourmet sausages for an early dinner on our fabulous timber fueled brick BBQ before the evening stargazing event (or bring something prepared and heat it up in our oven?). Astro Tour commences after sunset. Stay overnight (guests have privacy of the cottage to themselves at night) with “house special” omelet filled with home grown herbs served for breakfast. Departure ~ 10.30 a.m. on departure day.
Evening Under The Stars Tour With Overnight Stay
Tour Price $695. Booking $495 … Balance $200 payable on Tour night **N.B. Balance payable on event night is refunded if a Tour cannot occur due to weather. - Sleeping Arrangements: One queen size bed(electric blanket), two single beds. Linen supplied.
- If an Astro Tour is not possible due to weather, you will still have a great getaway experience … and at a significantly reduced price. (we also informally offer a very reasonable return deal if this occurs: we are determined to help you complete your tour successfully, eventually :))

Airbnb Guest Option To Do An Astro Tour
(Note: Airbnb availability is also at times of the month not suitable for tours due to Moon phase. Booking an extended stay via us (similar cost) ensures more certainty with dates)

Evening Under The Stars Tours
With “Evening Under The Stars Tours” with no overnight stay, guests do not book a particular night when making a booking. At the Booking stage, you are simply booking your intention to do a Tour, which we will then organize between us for a time to suit.
Bookings and tours may be planned for as early as the same day or beyond, depending on availability and conditions. When planned, tours are usually coordinated at short notice i.e. 1 to 5 days away. Guests need to be “local” and available :). For “Evening Under The Stars” tours (without Overnight Stay) Booking Fees are non-refundable and are valid for 24 months (only) from the date of purchase.
Evening Under The Stars – With Overnight Stay
With Overnight Stay Tour Bookings, a particular date is reserved for a guest’s booking … Unless our “Proxy” date option is employed, confirming a date later. (See Available Dates). If with a Tour booking, an Astronomy Tour viewing a minimum of 5 objects is not possible due to weather, the tour Balance is not payable on tour night. All meal arrangements as per original booking, will continue. Evening Under The Stars Tour With Overnight Stay Bookings are valid for 24 months from the date of booking. Special attention for Proxy date and tour “gift” bookings that the recipient is aware of this. 🙂
If a guest fails to attend a Booked Tour night or extended stay, their Booking Deposit is forfeited.
Should a guest (for any reason) choose not to have an AstroTour during their stay – even though conditions enabled a Tour, there shall be no refund to the full Tour fee and the tour balance is payable.
CANCELLATION POLICY OVERNIGHT STAY TOUR BOOKINGS (incl. “extended stay” tour bookings)
- If cancelled within 7 days of an original booking being received, no Cancellation Fee shall be payable and a full refund will apply, providing the Cancellation Date is at least 10 days prior to the booked event arrival date. Overnight Stay bookings made with the proxy date will also receive a full refund if cancelled within 7 days of the booking date. No refund is otherwise payable.
- A guest may apply to re-schedule an original tour date if the request is received before 10 days of the existing event night. Guests can reply to re-schedule a tour only once.

BOOK AN AIRBNB STAY AND ENJOY AN ASTRO TOUR DURING YOUR STAY – GIPPSLAND THINGS TO DO

This Option is outside and separate to the Airbnb accommodation rate owing to the discretionary nature of the Astro Tour arrangement.
The beachfront location of this property is a primary objective for most people staying all year round. Once booked, guests can enquire about taking an AstroTour while on their visit. There are minimum number of nights stay periods at the beach house (minimums are 3 to 5 nights depending on season) and daily rates will vary according to time of year. For guests wanting an AstroTour we generally aim for it on the first night of their stay (or the last). Guests will pay a discounted $250 for the tour on the night … This is a great all year round getaway holiday experience. Astro Tours are subject to conditions and availability.
*Please note that if you wish to do an astro tour during your Airbnb stay, the stay needs to overlap “a night or two” with “Available Astro Tour Nights” in order that Moon conditions are suitable for a tour. Check these dates here
