Wonthaggi Group Enjoys A Great Tour And Multiple Night Stay By The Beach

It’s Difficult To Imagine The Enormity Of Deep Space Objects

Darren and Kieron came to The Honeysuckles to explore the wondrous depths of space. From within the confines of our Solar System to the outer reaches of faraway galaxies, they found what they were looking for – and much more. Four planets from our Solar System, fabulous galaxies and two the of the greatest star-forming nebulae on show right now, were just some of the sights.

Our second Gippsland group in as many days (most of our bookings are from Melbourne folk), another ideal night was enjoyed panning across the rich southern skies and stopping for a long look up close at some of the most amazing sights imaginable. As with nearly all guests, they commented on how “unexpected” and wonderful the objects were … and the stories behind them.

We, in the southern hemisphere, are very fortunate to have an array of the best objects to observe. It’s more than just luck. It is because the southern hemisphere is better positioned to look towards the centre of our own Milky Way Galaxy and as such we are looking to the richest and most interesting vistas that can be enjoyed from our planet. Astronomy enthusiasts from the northern hemisphere will travel south of the equator to see our great objects. Honeysuckles Astronomy Tours regularly has overseas visitor’s booking a stay by the beach and astronomy tour with us. It’s the best of both worlds for our overseas (and local/Melbourne) guests.

Autumn produces a fabulous selection of magnificent objects to see. If you are thinking of booking a tour for this time of year, we recommend you book your overnight stay and tour very soon. It is a popular viewing season for us.

“Thank you Bruce … appreciate the awesome knowledge and explanations last night. Really enjoyed it.”      Jackson
